Went out for the first ride of the season after a tune up in the fall and had some serious drivetrain issues. After biking from Maine to Oregon and visiting my fair share of bike shops along the way, I have discovered that there are lots of great shops out there. That being said, Belgen Cycles might be my favorite. I could be biased because of the epic trails two minutes away, or because it is so close to home, or because I was there earlier today, but however you want to put it, I am grateful to have this kind of resource so close to home.
The shop itself has a small footprint but it's packed with (full suspension, hardtail, rigid and road) bikes. Tools are organized and there is usually some music playing in the background.

Just wanted to update my review to say that I have just purchased a Salsa Mukluk Fat bike from Gene, a 2016 model. Working with Village Bicycle Repair continues to be an excellent experience. Gene and the fellas at Village Bicycle have bailed me out several times. The shop is very small, but their work excellent, due to the demand on them and their very small space they can get backlogged sometimes during the busy season but this is a testimony to their success a great bike shop!
